Kimmirut (formerly Lake Harbour), Nunavut was one of the earlier Hudson’s Bay Company and RCMP posts in the south Baffin, and has become known for a sapphire find. It is our $100 hamburger airport. The strip is small, with hills on 2 sides and village on the other two,  making it a challenge!
