Has some great photos of trips to south Baffin Island taken from is Aviat Husky.  Check out his site for some amazing Arctic aerial photography.

Siegmar Sprenger  and Harro Lorenz  arrived in Iqaluit on June 15, 2005 on a trip from Berlin. They came for a bit of arctic sightseeing in their Flight Designs CT ultra-light…. Big features, small plane.  In this picture we’re just about to park it in the Polar Pilots hangar for the night before Siegmar and Harro head out for a look around town. Their trip report in German.

Gerd and Dorothy Wengler tucking their trusty Turbo Skylane into the Polar Pilots hangar for the night.  They stopped by on their way from Ontario to Ireland… and then again on the way back in late July, 2005.

They dropped by again in the summer of 2007 for a visit to Pangnirtung, Qikiqtarjuaq and Greenland.

Wing Commanders Rahul Monga and Anil Kumar of the Indian Air Force demonstrate pre-flight inspection for CBC North Television in Iqaluit on August 1st, 2007.  They were here on day 60 and 61 of their record breaking 79 day trip around the world in a Flight Designs CT ultralight. The trip was part of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Indian Air Force.  They arrived in New Delhi on August 20/07, having started the trip June 1, 2007. See a Discovery Channel story about them on YouTube. Early in 2008, Monga and Kumar received the Shaurya Chakra to recognize their

accomplishment.

Something you don’t see everyday in Iqaluit… a 210, a Beaver and a Bush Hawk… all on floats! Here they are at the fuel station on a sunny July 2008 Sunday.  Earlier the same month, a Lake Amphibian dropped by on the way to Europe

This Israeli registered Ruttan VariEze  put in an appearance in July of 2008.  CYFB Iqaluit has been a busy airport this summer.  Note the US registered Maule parked next to the VariEza.  On the same afternoon, a Canadian registered Cessna Turbo Centurion found a spot on the tarmac as well.
